Moody Sky, Rannoch Moor Fine Art Monochrome Landscape PrintThis shot was taken in March 2009 so its taken a wee while to add to the site ! Mainly as I only found the 5X4 transparencies I took last spring a month or so ago they got missed placed when I moved house last summer.

I had spent a very wet and windy night on Rannoch Moor and things were not looking very promising when I woke around 5am. Very low cloud and heavy rain so it wasn’t going to be an early start ! Things started to look up a couple of hours latter and by 9am the cloud was just of the tops and a few breaks were appearing in the cloud. This shot of Stob a Ghlais Choire at the head of Glen Etive was taken around 10am, by which time the wind had really got up so a few rocks were needed to weigh the tripod down !

Three new prints added to the Lake District Gallery, including Striding Edge Helvellyn below;

Also panoramic view of Derwentwater and Cat Bells from Castle Head and Blencathra on winters afternoon from Tewet tarn.
